Lesson 2 - Arabic Letter's Shapes
Forms of the Alphabet: (Letters not connected to Other Letters, Letter Forms at the Beginning of a Word, Letter Forms in the Middle of a Word, and Letter Forms at the End of a Word).
Lesson 2 - Explanation
- Know each letter of the Arabic alphabet by its name (e.g. “alif,” “baa’,” “taa’,” “seen,” “jeem”), not by its sound (e.g. “aa,” “ba,” “ta,” “sa,” “ja”).
- Recognize each letter of the alphabet when it is not connected to any other letters.
- Recognize each letter of the alphabet when it comes at the beginning of a word.
- Recognize each letter of the alphabet when it comes in the middle of a word.
- Recognize each letter of the alphabet when it comes at the end of a word.
- Recognize the different shapes and forms that each letter can take.
- Be able to write each letter correctly in all of the different positions that it may appear at within a word.
- Get to know the beauty of the letters of the Arabic language.

- Practice reading the names of the letters and noting the characteristics and articulation point together.
